Heitor Pagliaro is Italian Brazilian, living in Brazil, where he was born in 1986. He is currently a PhD candidate at the University of Brasilia, researching the political theory of Jean-Jacques Rousseau and Hannah Arendt. He holds an MA in Philosophy and a BA in Law, both from the Federal University of Goias, Brazil. His master's thesis, Conventionalism and Naturalism in Rousseau, investigated the concept of law in RousseauHis bachelor's thesis, The Antisocial Vocation of Human Rights, analyzed the philosophical foundations of human rights, especially the liberal conception of rights. He is author of 26 presentations in congresses and 9 publications, including book chapters and articles. He is editor-in-chief of a philosophical journal, permanent referee of three others and he reviews articles for many more. He is an attorney in Brazil. His main interests are political and legal philosophy.
